So after signing on as a sponsored 'Futera Star' back in March 2023, we take a look at just how the year has panned out for 11 year old golfing prodigy Ethan Kinski.
So it's fair to say it's been a crazy year on the course for Ethan. Starting the year with a handicap of 19.8 he has unbelievably dropped 7.0pts down to 12.8.
There has been a lot of success at his home club St Mellion, captaining the Junior section, winning the Junior Match Play Championship and coming 3rd overall in the Junior Championships.
At County level Ethan has had a brilliant season representing Cornwall at both under 12s and under 14s. Captaining the 12s, Ethan led the team to victory in the Triangular Cup and personally finished 5th overall in the Counties Championship, posting Cornwall's best score along the way.
Ethan has also participated in a number of Opens this year which included a Runners Up finish in the County Championships at Looe GC, as well as over 10 top 5 finishes across various South West courses.
Undoubtedly the biggest achievement and challenge of the year has been Ethan's participation in this years Junior World Championships held at the 5 star Lough Erie Resort in Ireland. The 3 day medal event saw over 500 competitors from 40 countries with Ethan finishing 34th - an amazing achievement!
With a lowest score this year of 76 Ethan is now focussing on Winter training with his coach Tyler Hogerty with refining his short game and distance off the tee being the main objectives.
It has been great working with Ethan this year and all of us at Futera Team UK are really proud of his achievements in 2023!
