Futera Stars - Spotlight on Sam Cardigan

Footballer and Cricketing superstar Sam Cardigan signed up as a 'Futera Star' back in May 2023. We take a look at just how the year has panned out for 12 year old Sam.

On the cricket front Sam has been in sparkling form. A few of his highlights include top scoring with 69 and taking 3 wickets whilst representing Cornwall U12's at the prestigious Kings Tournament as part of Taunton Cricket Week.

Sam, despite only being 12, played a huge part in winning the Cornwall Under 14's Cup in July and has also impressively made his senior adult debut playing for Truro Cricket Club - scoring plenty of runs and taking multiple wickets!

On the football pitch Sam also continues to impress. Success in the County Schools U12's Cup, Schools National Cup and representing West Cornwall Schools at both U13's and U14s level.

Certainly one of Sam's highlights was equalising for Plymouth Argyle Academy U12's in a 3-3 draw against local rivals Bristol Rovers at Championship ground Home Park.

It has been great working with Sam this year and all of us at Futera Team UK are really proud of his achievements in 2023!
