Futera Team UK are really proud to announce their latest Futera Star as the young football and cricket whizz kid, Sam Cardigan.
Now it’s fair to say that there is no downtime in the year for 12 year old Sam as he shares his time as an elite member of the Plymouth Argyle Academy U12’s with being a star all rounder playing county cricket for Cornwall.
Sam has been signed to the Argyle Academy for the past two years and he's certainly turning heads with his notable performances this season against Premier powerhouses Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Wolves. Although for any Argyle fans Sam's highlight for the season so far is undoubtedly his hat trick against local rivals Exeter City!
With a bat and ball young Cardigan has been equally impressive. Sam recently top scored with 84 runs at the nationally contested Kings Festival and has also had two five wicket hauls for Cornwall in the past year – both of which are cementing Sam's credentials as a genuine all rounder.
It is a really exciting year ahead for Sam and we are all so pleased to have signed his services as a brand ambassador for Futera Team UK.
Managing Director Paul Bennett has recently met up twice with Sam. Firstly at the home of football, Wembley Stadium, to present him with his sponsored Futera kit and then Paul couldn't resist popping along at the end of April to watch Sam score the equaliser in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Bristol Rovers at Home Park.
